Slyder Smith:
Grit, Melody, and Doing It Anyway
UK rock singer-songwriter Slyder Smith combines gritty guitars, hook-laden melodies, and brutally honest lyrics, exploring ambition, self-doubt, addiction, insomnia, heartbreak, and the anxieties of the modern world — including the fear of technology taking over, as in forthcoming single “Killing The Machine”.
After making his name with cult power-pop band Last Great Dreamers, Slyder launched his solo career with the critically acclaimed debut album Charm Offensive (2022), praised by Vive Le Rock, Powerplay, and Fireworks for its raw emotion and incisive songwriting. Singles like “Nobody’s Listening” and “Plan To Fail” have cemented his reputation as a modern rock voice unafraid to tackle life’s toughest truths.
Slyder now leads a powerful four-piece band featuring Brian Kerr on guitar, Kevin Skelly on bass and backing vocals, and John McAvoy on drums, delivering dynamic, electrifying live performances. Recent sold-out shows at Forfar 10 Bar and Rockwich Festival earned praise for charm, energy, and stage command.
He is currently recording new material with Robin Wynn Evans at TPot Studio, with his next single set for April 2026, coinciding with live shows planned for the rest of 2026.
Slyder Smith continues to write, record, and perform with fearless authenticity — making music that resonates with anyone navigating life’s highs, lows, and everything in between.
